CME PROGRAM DESCRIPTION AND OBJECTIVES:
Dr. John Buatti will discuss a variety of topics related to the role of imagining in radiation oncology, including the enhancement of target delineation by using MRI and PET/CT fusion, the use of fiducial markers for targeting organ motion, the advantages of various newly developed IGRT technologies, the use of 4-D CT for respiratory gating, as well as other investigational concepts in this area. 

As a result of participating in this program, attendees will be able to:
1.  Illustrate how PET/CT and MRI fusion techniques enhance target delineation
2.Describe what 4-D CT consists of and how it can be employed to assist in tracking repiratory motion
3. Appreciate the importance of the use of fiducial markers in radiation therapy
4.  Be able to define the terms IGRT, DGRT, and adaptive radiation therapy.
